If the result is that your game install is fine, I would try a complete uninstall and reinstall.

I am playing this on my laptop, can anyone recommend some ways to help fix the lag. Additional information about lag: The mouse is pointer moves farther then I want it to my characters movements are slow, I cant properly click on a target cause the mouse fly's over their heads, its just all around difficult to play so any suggestions would really be appreciated so I can continue to enjoy this game.
The mouse issues I'm not sure what it could be. See if that helps. Try different resolutions, also contact support, see if they have any ideas re: the mouse issues. I suggest more people who can try to install both versions of the game and get back to this post.
If you only have 6GB of RAM that would most likely be the problem, especially if you are running a lot of program's as well with the game, steam is a big RAM killer, try upgrading to a desktop computer, laptops are overall plan crap :.
Yea it turns out its my Graphics card. I'll tough it out. It's not unplayable, but it's a bit frustrating. Usually when this happens, if I disconnect and reconnect, the problem is fixed - at least for a little while I'm having a more annoying issue.
The game keeps crashing halfway into races. Playing: lots of things. I've experienced a number of crashes as well, but mine were random. I can't remember what specifically I did to trigger them aside from the first which seemed to happen when I transitioned from handheld to docked. The game asked me to set the screen boundaries after restarting, so I assume that's what it was. They must not have implemented a graceful way of setting that up if the game is already running.
